14-1 Playing rules.
Object - To be the first player to reach the designated target of balls potted. Each match round is played best of 3 games with each game being played first player to reach 41 points (51 points in the final.)
Break - Coin toss for break. Winning call decides who breaks that game. All subsequent games are alternate player breaks. The first player who breaks has two shot attempts to pot their first ball. All subsequent breaks that game are one shot only. A successful break is either a ball being potted or four balls must hit cushions. Failure to do this results in a 5 point loss and the opposing player can either decide to continue with play or re-rack the balls and break themselves.
Play – After a successful ball is potted that player continues to pot any ball until either a ball is missed or a foul is committed. The final tally of balls potted is added to their score and play passes to their opponent. All fouls are a 5 point loss and end of turn. After all 15 balls are potted they are then re-racked and play continues from where the white finishes. If the white finishes within the rack area then the white is returned to baulk for the break. All other rules are as per current EPA World rules.
